Loreto Omagh visit the P6 and P7 class!
16th Jan 2026
It was great to have the Loreto Convent, Omagh out today at Tummery. It was lovely for the children and all of us to see our past pupils Darcie, Eimear and Roisin! Mrs Connolly knew a number of the children in the class and she went over a presentation around Loreto firstly.
The children then played a fun game of memory in teams of 3/4 before moving on to a science experiment based on tin foil and sinking/ floating. The children had to place their boats in the water tank and place 2ps on top of their boat. It was interesting seeing how all the children and groups worked together. I think the leading team had possibly 48 2p coins. Quite an achievement!
A fun day and we are grateful to Mrs Connolly, our past pupils and Loreto for visiting us. They ended by encouraging the girls in P6 and P7 to visit the school for their Open Evening next Thursday evening at 6.30pm.
